Schwervon! return to Scotland!

Nan Turner and Matt Roth "met and fell in love amidst the fertile gutters of NYC" and soon afterwards began recording together as Schwervon! Their Low Blow album, released earlier this year, kicked serious backside with a barrage of heavy Pixies-esque riffery, pop melodies and perfectly attuned male/female harmonies.

Both are also excellent musicians in their own right, with Turner playing under her own name, and Roth going under the name Major Matt Mason USA. If that wasn't cool enough, they even run their own label, Olive Juice Music, a treasure trove of the best of NYC's alternative indie rock and anti-folk scene, from their tiny apartment in the Lower East Side.

Their last gigs in Scotland were utterly life-affirming, so expect the same when they play an acoustic house show at the Music Inn Glasgow on 4th December and at Henry's in Edinburgh on 5th December where they'll be joined by their cross-atlantic counterparts Withered Hand, Enfant Bastard and The Pineapple Chunks at a gig hosted by SL Records.

Dec. 04 - Music Inn - Glasgow, UK (Acoustic house show- please rsvp to musicinn@gmail.com if you would like to go)
Dec. 05 - Henry's Cellar Bar - Edinburgh, UK (w/ Withered Hand, Pineabble Chunks and Les Enfant Bastard)
